Aqua Salt FRN Black / Black Blade Plain, a fixed blade knife from the well-known SALT series, recommended for divers and for work in wet environments. With improved grip ergonomics, the knife fits securely even in wet hands. Very lightweight, works well in all conditions, even extreme ones. Made of the exclusive H1 steel, which is salt and rust resistant and designed to withstand prolonged exposure to moisture. Knives made of this steel are in demand among sailors, divers, fishermen, survivalists.

H-1 – the blade is made of Japanese Myodo Foundry, high chromium, low carbon (rolled without heat treatment) H-1 stainless steel with hardness of 57-58 HRC. It contains 14-16% chromium, 0.15% carbon, 3-4.5% silicon, and 1% nitrogen. All internal steel parts have been specially treated to make them rust and salt resistant. The knife can stay in water, including sea water, and does not rust even if left wet after use.

Blade – Drop Point profile, 3.0 mm thick. The blade is coated with a scratch resistant, matte non-reflective TICN (Non-Reflective Titanium Carbonitride) coating in black. The smooth Plain blade has a Hollow Grind for effective, deep cuts. Characteristic for Spyderco knives Spyder Hole in the blade in addition to aesthetic function can be used to make an improvised guard with paracord.

Handle – full-size black covers, directly molded on the tango of the knife. Made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), a fiberglass-reinforced nylon, it has a Bi-Directional Texturing for excellent grip with gloves as well as with greasy or wet hands. On the back side of the blade there is a lanyard hole to pull a lanyard or a rope. The plastic sheath is equipped with a multi-position G-Clip™ attachment for easy carrying on a belt or suspenders. There are also holes on the edge of the sheath which allow you to easily attach the knife to your equipment with a line.
